KRABI.. THE HARDEST GOODBYE

To be honest as I start to reminisce on my trip as I’m halfway through. Krabi left the biggest imprint on me. Maybe it was because it was a lot of firsts for me. First real big collaboration, first time seeing Thailand, first time getting involved with the culture and people, first time on a long tail boat.

It was a lot of firsts - therefore it’s a lot of memories left with me.

KRABI, THAILAND HAS MY HEART.

Krabi, you are absolutely incredible.

I’m writing this as we take a shuttle to a pier where we’ll hop onto a ferry and then another shuttle to our hotel. Situated in the beautiful island of Koh Lanta

And I’m just reminiscing on these past four days as if it was all a dream. I felt like I had shut my eyes on the plane and never woke up. The views, the people, the culture, the vibes. Everything about Krabi had a warm welcome compared to anywhere  I’ve ever been.

It’s scary honestly, having all these moments I did the past few days. How amazing it all was, it feels like it wasn’t real. I’m honestly living in a dream, one I’m too scared to wake up from.

40 HOURS OF TRAVEL

Honestly guys. Travel isn’t always rainbows and butterflies, it’s not always beautiful and easy.

Everyone told me that going in and I believed them but what I didn’t know is that I would be experiencing it all within 4 hours of leaving my house.

4 flights and 38 or 40 hours of travel, I was bound to get sick or something was suppose to go wrong.

But my first flight from Seattle to LA - It hit me.

DREAMS TO REALITY

A couple hours later I had no joke a 4 page list of things I would do if fear weren't a factor..

I saw myself running around the beautiful beaches of Thailand I once was suppose to go to 3 years ago.. A camera roll full of one in a lifetime adventures with my best friend.. A confident and fearless woman in the pursuit of happiness with life. I saw myself chasing dreams that once weren't left in my comfort zone.

The next question that kept replaying in my head:

What's holding you back?

HOW TO PLAN FOR YOUR THAILAND TRIP

So first things first I booked my ticket to Bangkok leaving from LA. If you guys personally know me you know I live in Seattle area.

But when I saw a $450 ticket roundtrip HOW COULD I PASS IT UP?!

From there a month later I booked my tickets from Seattle to LAX. Only $150 round trip.

So for $600 or $650 after tax I got a complete roundtrip ticket to Bangkok from Seattle.

How you might ask.. Let's get into it!

NOT THIS YOUNG FOREVER

I talked to the guy more he goes “Man what I would do to be your age running wild again with no worries I feel like time is so limitless your age” - They had just bought a motorhome and were from Texas making their all the way up to Alaska. As he was saying all of that he said my exact thought “The type of roadtrip you want to do when you’re young though”.. He elaborated more talking about how they just sold some unnecessary home items and eventually their home to see the world more before they pass away. “I wish I would have done it when I was your age, your condition, your mindset. Just what I would do to be your age again” His wife thought he was annoying me because she tried pulling at him. Luckily she did though, because he was pulling at the heart strings honestly.

WA COAST ITINERARY

The beach, rainforests, beautiful waterfalls, hot springs, wildlife and more!

I personally live near Seattle, WA so from there over to the Olympic National Park is only about three hours. Yes that sounds like a long time but you get to take a ferry over and it feels so untouched and wild over there.

I'm going to give you an itinerary that you can complete for how many ever days you feel necessary. OR just pick and choose some of these places for whatever fits you!

This is the route I usually take when I go over:

"WHAT'S YOUR END GOAL?"

30 minutes passed and he came back through after walking around and taking photos, he goes “So what exactly is your end goal?” Me “I mostly went on this trip for Colorado so I guess that’s the end goal” he goes “no no no, the end goal of this trip. Are you searching for something? Running wild and rebelling? Trying to meet people? Wanting to take photos? What made you want to really go?” I remember kind of sitting there blank minded but also a million thoughts running through my head at the same time and him leaving with “write it down when you find out what it is” so I wrote down those questions, those comments and that whole conversation in my journal. It felt deeper than it needed to be probably.

LESSONS FROM 2018 - HOW TO LIVE BEFORE YOU DIE

I want to start by saying thank you for those who have followed my adventures from 2018 into this new year!

2018 was without a doubt the hardest year I’ve ever went through.. But with every situation I came out with a new lesson learned and a stronger/wiser self. You see if I wouldn’t have went through all of that I wouldn’t be who I am today, I wouldn’t want to make decisions in life the way I do, I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing this year and so many more opportunities that haven’t even happened yet wouldn’t being arising.
